Community Dance Artist: Breda Mc Nulty
Hi my name is Breda Mc Nulty. As a Community Dance Artist for Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre I work in delivering a range of dance classes and administration work. I deliver different styles of dance from kids creative classes to adult classes as well as working in schools and leading small community projects. I’m always eager to add to these dance styles as I started my dance training in Ballet at the age of 7 years. At the age of 19 I went on to train in Dublin for two years in the styles of Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, drama and singing. I then continued my passion for dance in the different styles of Contemporary Dance and obtained my degree in Dance from the University of Ulster. When I have some spare time I like to go and see a wide range of live performances from dance to live music as well as spending time with my family. Working as a Community Dance Artist for DQDT I get to experience all aspects of a Community Dancers Life.
Administrator: Barbara Stuart
Hi, I’m Barbara Stuart and I’m the Administrator at Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre. I look after the office while Dylan and Breda are teaching and keep things ticking over by answering emails and responding to telephone queries. I joined the company because I grew up in a family which loved music and jiving at the age of 5 to the tunes of Elvis with my older brother, in our front sitting room, was the highlight of my week! Having worked in health and educational settings, I witnessed how beneficial dance can be in relieving stress, fears and anxieties, increase self esteem and improving communication skills.
Board of Directors:
The Board of Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre meets on a regular basis to oversee longterm plans within the company. They exist to support the strategic development of the organisations and to support the Team in achieving the company’s founding objectives. We are always interested in talking to people who feel they maybe able to offer the company something unique and would be willing to work in a voluntary capacity with DQDT.
